Background
The Brynford Civic Association (BCA) represents the residents of the Fifth Ward, precinct 1, which runs from College to County Line, up to San Marino and down to the tracks of the Norristown High Speed Line, with both Bryn Mawr and Haverford zip codes. Our unique corner of Haverford Township is a balance of residential, commercial, religious, recreational, and educational places.
The Civic Association was incorporated in 1963 and has been active to varying degrees ever since. At some point in the 1990s new Bylaws were adopted and the Civic Association thrived for a couple of decades. More recently in 2019 the Civic Association was relaunched in order to bring the neighborhood together in opposition to the electronic billboards being proposed along Lancaster Avenue in Brynford. Over the decades we have worked together to improve our neighborhood, maintain the right balance of homes and commercial enterprises, keep the streets as traffic-free and safe as possible, and preserve many pockets of peace and beauty. We are non-profit, non-political, but pro-collaboration and civility.

Executive Committee (Elected Officers)
Elections of the Brynford Civic Association’s Officers are held every two years. The Executive Committee consists of these elected officers. The current officers were elected in November 2024. To facilitate communication between the Civic Association and the community, we rely on Area Representatives.
